The Philips HeartStart FRx defibrillator features intuitive, step-by-step voice instructions, including CPR guidance, and an audible metronome to help guide basic life support responders while treating a suspected sudden cardiac arrest. 

Intended Purpose
A device that can analyse an electrocardiogram (ECG) to determine whether or not a defibrillator shock should be delivered. It is attached to the patient through a pair of adhesive defibrillation electrodes that serve both to monitor the ECG and to deliver the defibrillator discharges. The semi-automated defibrillator indicates to the operator when to deliver the shock.

Philips Heart Start FRx Defibrillator (AED)

  • Easy to use, rugged and reliable AED for those who get there first. 
  • Designed to work where rescuers may have to go to. In the rain, onboard aircraft, on metal surfaces or in industrial areas. 
  • Withstands jetting water, loads up to 250Kg and 1-metre drops to a concrete floor. It is also dust protected.
  • Incorporates daily, weekly and monthly self testing including a pads connection and integrity test to make sure everything functions when needed.
  • No regular or contractual technical maintenance programs. All vital functions are tested in the internal self test program including full energy charge/discharge.
  • The blinking green status indicator is the ”ready” signal confirming all is well, otherwise the FRx will produce an audio signal to notify that inspection is required.
  • In standby mode maintenance is simply visual inspection and replacement of consumables such as pads (every two years) and battery (every 4 years).
